Being my cherry post I figured id start out with something dear and true to my heart. "24" Falling in love back with 24 has been a up and down relationship. Starting way back in 2001 "24" gave us a weekly escape into the land known as C.T.U. ( Counter Terrorism Unit) and the heroic effort of our hero Jack Bauer. Set in real time the entire season takes place within a 24-Hour time period. Fast Forward to 2008. This year due to the writers strike 24 failed to get any episodes made before the strike took effect. As a bonus or extra they produced a 2-hour tv-movie called 24-Redemption. And this is why I started my blogg. Sure i am wasting a few minutes witting for the few who may read this. But I lost 2 hours Sunday night and I want them back. Sure "24" has had its ups and downs but for the most part it always pays of. Jack Bauer broke the two cardinal rules of tv/movies.. Don't act with kids and Animals. the later being the problem with 24-Redemption. 24-Redemption follows Jack Bauer trying to help save some kids from joining up in a surrealistic setting in Africa and to free them from joining a kid army. Once again set in real time. Were supposed to believe Jack takes down a platoon of soldiers. Gets captured. Escapes. And leads the kids to safety. Sure there is a great side story taking place state side and other details. But in the end I lost 2 hours. I look forward to "24" seasons premier in January and hope by then my love for "24" has returned......
